W+D-Langhammer - company history

1971 Heinrich Langhammer sets up the engineering office Heinrich Langhammer in Frankenthal (Palatinate).
1974 Move to Eisenberg.
1976 Launch of the Langhammer Maschinenbau GmbH.

Right from the start Langhammer built on a principle that has proven itself throughout the years - the modular assembly principle. By combining individual modules the firm can very flexibly cover a wide spectrum of customer needs.
1985-1986 Expansion of the product assortment. With the development of the first semi-automatic palletizer and the first fully automatic palletizer the conveyor technology was extended to include palletizing technology as well.
1987-today Years of expansion
1987 First palletizing center
1989 First multi-line palletizing
1991 Plant expansion: start of the office branch in Freiberg (Saxony)
1991 Opening up of new market areas: individual modules are adapted to the needs of other branches such as the foodstuffs and paper industry.
1993 New plant opens in Freiberg
1995 First palletizing robot
1998 First articulated robot for cleaning towel rolls
2005 Development of gantry system
2006 Development of gantry robot
2006-2007 Development of sheet metal storage Shelf Operating Unit
2007 Plant 2 opens in Eisenberg
2008 Sale of Langhammer Maschinenbau to Winkler+Dünnebier AG, a company of the Körber PaperLink Group . Langhammer is integrated in the group as a separate enterprise and wonderfully complements the Körber Paperlink portfolio with its products.

Heinrich Langhammer consigns the entrepreneurship on the 1st of May to long-time employees Enrico Pes and Georg Schmitt.

Change of company name to W+D-Langhammer GmbH.
